PRIVACY POLICY

Introduction

Corona del Mar High School PTA dba CDM Home Tour (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates cdmhometour.org (the “Website”). This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you visit the Website or buy event tickets through it, how that information is used, and the choices you have.

By using the Website, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

Information We Collect

We collect three kinds of information: website usage data gathered automatically through Google Analytics, ticket purchase information you provide to Eventbrite, and contact information you provide when you join our mailing list.

Website usage data (Google Analytics)

When you visit the Website, Google Analytics automatically collects information about your visit using cookies and similar technologies. This may include:

  • Pages you view, how long you stay, and the links you click
  • How you arrived at the Website (for example, a search engine or referring site)
  • Device type, browser, operating system, and screen size
  • Approximate location (city or region) derived from your IP address
  • Date and time of your visit

This data is used in aggregate to understand how visitors use the Website. We do not use Google Analytics to identify you personally.

Ticket purchase information (Eventbrite)

When you buy tickets for our events, the purchase is processed by Eventbrite. To complete your order, you provide Eventbrite with your name, email address, phone number, and payment card information.

Eventbrite shares your name, email address, phone number, and order details with us as the event organizer. We do not receive or store your full payment card number. Payment card data is collected and processed by Eventbrite and its payment processors.

Mailing list sign-ups (Constant Contact)

If you choose to join our mailing list, you provide your email address. This information is stored and managed by Constant Contact, the service we use to send our emails. Constant Contact may also collect information about how you interact with our emails, such as whether you open them and which links you click.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect only to run our events and improve the Website. Specifically, we use it to:

  • Confirm ticket purchases and manage event attendance
  • Contact you about events you registered for, including changes, cancellations, or reminders
  • Respond to your questions and requests
  • Understand how visitors use the Website so we can improve its content and design
  • Send you news about upcoming events and other marketing emails, if you join our mailing list
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-Party Services and Sharing

We rely on three third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

We encourage you to review these policies, since we do not control how these companies handle your data.

We share personal information beyond these services only when:

  • You ask us to or give consent
  • We are required by law, subpoena, or other legal process
  • It is needed to protect the rights, safety, or property of us, our attendees, or others

Cookies and Your Choices

The Website uses cookies, which are small text files stored on your device. We use two kinds:

  • Essential cookies, which are needed for the Website to work and to remember your cookie choices. These cannot be turned off.
  • Analytics cookies, set by Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the Website.

When you first visit the Website, a banner lets you accept cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or manage your settings. If you reject analytics cookies, Google Analytics will not collect data about your visit.

Your choice is saved on your browser. If you clear your cookies or use a different browser or device, you will be asked again.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Rejecting or blocking cookies will not prevent you from buying tickets.

Third parties, including Google, may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Website.

Do Not Track: Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. The Website does not currently respond to these signals.

Data Retention and Security

We keep attendee information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, generally 24 months after an event, unless the law requires longer. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, per our Google Analytics settings.

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we receive. However, no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

The Website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your Choices and Rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us (see below). For information held by Eventbrite, you can also manage your account directly on Eventbrite.

Marketing emails: You can unsubscribe from our mailing list at any time by clicking the SafeUnsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send, or by contacting us. Even if you unsubscribe, we may still email you about tickets you’ve purchased, such as order confirmations or event changes.

California residents

If you are a California resident, you can request to review and correct the personal information we have collected about you by contacting us at info@cdmhometour.org. We do not sell your personal information or share it with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

Visitors outside the U.S.

The Website is operated in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
